It all started years ago as I watched my Grammy in the kitchen. I remember when we visited her she always made yummy and beautiful cakes to welcome us.

My Mom would let me help her make chocolate chip cookies (and eat lots of dough too!), and my Dad was pretty handy in the kitchen as well, and I remember he and I would always bake and decorate special cookies together at Christmas time.

I've always enjoyed being in the kitchen, and I've always wanted to make things that would inspire others to light up with smiles of anticipation. I wanted people to ohh and ahh over the goodies I cooked or baked for them.

A little dream of mine was to take culinary arts classes. The cake decorating classes grabbed my attention for years and years and finally, I decided to go for it. I took my first Wilton class and I was hooked! I bought all of my supplies and dreamed of doing cakes for a living. After many more classes, and being honored as a runner-up in the Taste of Home Creative Cakes Contest, my dream became reality.
